30th July 2005. Fleur de Lys & Swanage Pier

This was a quick jaunt down to Swanage as I promised Dave that I would dive with him after he had been out of diving for a while. As it was Dave’s first time back in UK seas for over a year we decided on the Fleur de Lys in Swanage Bay as our boat dive with a second dive on the pier. In only 10-12m the Fleur is an excellent little wooden wreck with opportunities to have a good ferret around and inside the deck. The engine room is exposed allowing a safe look from outside. This was a really fun dive. Our second dive was under the pier, we went in at the wrong time and never got more than 4m but spent well over an hour exploring both the piers.

27th July 2005. Prince Leopold & Louis from Portsmouth

Another opportunity to go out on midweek just before heading off to Scapa Flow, so this was a good opportunity to get in a little more deco practise on another great wreck. Managed to get one or two decent shots on this dive. Another YD trip report can be found here

15th & 16th July 2005. The YD Stock 3 South Gig Selsey.

This one I was looking forward to, as it was the first opportunity for me to dive on a submarine. I had tried too in Weymouth earlier in the year on M2 but things did not go to plan. This weekend was great, we had great weather, fantastic visibility and great wrecks. Diving from Dive Eclipse & Taurus from Dover. We dived on U90, HMS Sapper, Shirala, & Louis. Trip reports from YD are here
