30th July 2005. Fleur de Lys & Swanage Pier

This was a quick jaunt down to Swanage as I promised Dave that I would dive with him after he had been out of diving for a while. As it was Dave’s first time back in UK seas for over a year we decided on the Fleur de Lys in Swanage Bay as our boat dive with a second dive on the pier. In only 10-12m the Fleur is an excellent little wooden wreck with opportunities to have a good ferret around and inside the deck. The engine room is exposed allowing a safe look from outside. This was a really fun dive. Our second dive was under the pier, we went in at the wrong time and never got more than 4m but spent well over an hour exploring both the piers.
