Back in the water at last… Stoney Cove February 27, 2006

Saturday 25th Feb

Last weekend was the Annual YD Winter Warmer Gig held at Stoney Cove. About 50 or 60 YDers descended on the inland dive site at various times throughout the day to “enjoy” the cold waters of quarry diving.

A full report of YDers antics is available over at Yorkshire -Divers.com but here is my day

Not happy about not diving February 21, 2006

I am a bit cheesed off at the moment that I have nothing more to write about going diving at the moment.  I was supposed to be diving this coming Friday on the Solsette out of Weymouth with Garf but due to the bike crash I binned off it.  To be honest I am glad I did as I still don’t feel 100% and I thought I would be by now.   So keep on YD for the trip report from Mark Chase and the guys about the dive and think of me.   I don’t even think I will be diving on Saturday at Stoney for the YD gig but then again I might not be able to resist……

Till later

I thought I would have a look back through some of my archives and I found some links to pictures that I don’t think I’ve posted on YD.

So here are the links for a couple of dive trips Lisa and I have taken together.

Cyprus 2004 - I had only just qualified.

Oman January 2005.  Our first trip with our camera.

So in response to the request on YD, here is my dive blog.  I have updated it with a few historical reports and logs that I have made elsewhere, and how it has brought back some fine memories, for example diving U90 on the YD Selsey Gig, or seeing the guns on Kronprinz Wilhelm in Scapa, or indeed the fantastic dive I experienced on the Hispania in the Sound of Mull.  Hope you enjoy the Blog, please post yer comments.  Look forward to reading them.

The Reason why I am not diving at the moment February 6, 2006

My reason for not diving So this is the reason for me not diving.  I was riding my bike on the way back from dropping my car off at the garage when I am told my front wheel fell off, and I went over the handlebars.  Fortunately or unforunately I don’t remember anything of it as I was somewhat out of it for 20 minutes or so.  So a trip down to A&E with Lisa, a few stitches in my tongue and a bit of concussion and there we have it.  Probably out of the water for a couple of weeks!!!
